Anthropology

Anthropology at Sewanee encourages students to learn about human experience in both archaeological and contemporary socio-cultural settings. Field research, study abroad, and community engagement are all key elements in our teaching that provide students with a broad array of practical analytic skills and help students to see human diversity as a source of both strength and inspiration.
