Matthew Lafferman - C'09

Matt graduated Sewanee magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 2009 with a major in History and a minor in Political Science. After receiving a scholarship to attend George Mason University School of Law, Matt graduated magna cum laude in 2013 after serving as an editor on the George Mason Law Review. After law school, Matt clerked for the Honorable Robert G. Doumar of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Matt now works at Dentons US LLP, in Washington, DC, where he specializes in general civil litigation and white collar criminal matters.


Robert McNaughton - C'08

Robert graduate from Sewanee in 2008. After graduating from Cumberland School of Law in 2013, Robert moved to Atlanta, Georgia and began work as a corporate attorney in the Marketing Advisory department of Primerica, Inc., a financial services marketing firm based in Duluth, GA. In this role, Robert performs legal review of corporate and agent-created advertising across all mediums, including print, video, and social media. He also helps protect Primerica's brand by facilitating the removal of content that infringes upon the company's corporate trademarks and copyrights.


Daniel Hinkle - C'08 

Daniel Hinkle from Tallahassee FL graduated Sewanee in 2008 with a major in Philosophy and minor in Psychology. He attended law school at Washington University in St Louis and graduated in 2013. After law school, he worked as a fellow in the General Counsels office at Washington University followed by a short period working for a medium sized law firm doing employment and medical malpractice litigation work. Currently, he lives in Washington, D.C. where he is State Affairs Counsel for the American Association for Justice. In this role, he focuses on legislative analysis and advocacy work on behalf of citizens seeking access to the court system.


 Jessica Bradley - C'07

Jessica Bradley is a 2007 Sewanee graduate (BA, History), and a 2013 graduate of the University of Memphis School of Law. During law school, Jessica served as the Symposium Editor of the Memphis Law Review and as a Student Justice on the Memphis Law Honor Council. She is currently an associate attorney at Godwin, Morris, Laurenzi, and Bloomfield PC, where she helps represent injured workers, labor unions, and health and welfare funds. Since joining Godwin Morris, Jessica authored winning on-the-job injury appeals to both the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Tennessee Court of Appeals, and has also successfully arbitrated a number labor cases for workers and unions.

Bevin Williams - C'11

Bevin Williams is a Regional Executive with Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee. Bevin graduated from Sewanee in 2011 with a degree in Classical Languages. From there, she went on to the University of Alabama School of Law in Tuscaloosa, where she graduated with her Juris Doctor in 2013. After law school, Bevin worked as a prosecutor with the District Attorney General of the 22nd Judicial District of Tennessee for a year before leaving to work in nonprofit management. She was previously the Program Director, then Executive Director and CEO of The Mediation Center, a nonprofit providing legal services in Columbia, TN. Bevin started with Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee in December of 2015.
